About the Security Warnings

When downloading and installing KonvIR, you may encounter security warnings from both your web browser and Windows. These warnings appear because our software doesn't yet have a digital signature from a recognized certificate authority.

Why We Don't Have a Certificate Yet

We're a new company and are in the process of obtaining proper code signing certification. This verification process requires our website to be operational first - creating a bit of a chicken-and-egg situation for new software developers.

Is KonvIR Safe?

Yes, KonvIR is completely safe and contains no malware or viruses.

Should You Trust the Warnings?

Also yes. Security warnings exist for a good reason, and we encourage users to be cautious about what software they install. If you're uncomfortable bypassing these warnings, we completely understand - you might prefer to wait until we've obtained our code signing certificate.

How to Proceed If You Choose To

If you decide to install KonvIR despite the warnings:

  1. When your browser warns the download might be unsafe, look for an option like "Keep" or "Download anyway"
  2. When running the installer, Windows might show a "Windows protected your PC" screen
  3. Click "More info" which will reveal a "Run anyway" button
  4. Click "Run anyway" to proceed with installation

We're working to obtain proper certification as quickly as possible to eliminate these warnings in the future.
